LADY LOVE
Here's one from the fevered imagination of two young teenage boys. I think Krishna came up with the main riff and I came up with the bridge. It's a song about longing and infatuation I guess. When I play or listen to some of our songs from that time, I am pleasantly surprised by our sense of melody and musical direction in them — even though we were completely ignorant about any musical theory, chord progression or other songwriting norms. There's an innocence about this song that appeals to me even today. The video reflects the fantasy-like story of the song when we wrote it — but it's by no means meant to limit the meaning to the listener. Let the song inspire your own fantasies of love.

Sitting in the dark with nothing to do
Sitting all alone baby thinking of you
Ooooh o oh oh o… Aaaah ah aah aha
And I love you with all my heart
My lady love…you’re my lady love.
Sitting here alone lost in thought
Don’t you know you’re all I got
Ooooh o oh oh o… Aaaah ah aah aha
And I love you with all my heart
My lady love…you’re my lady love
My life is so incomplete
Like a bass guitar with no drumbeat
We can get married in the street
And be indiscreet
Sitting here lost in my dreams
Life is bittersweet it seems
Ooooh o oh oh o… Aaaah ah aah aha
And I love you with all my heart
My lady love…you’re my lady love
We’ll get old together someday
And watch our grandchildren play
And I could be your protege
If that’s okay
Mmmm… mmmmm…… mmmmm… my lady love
Mmmm… mmmmm…… mmmmm… my lady love
